We were tasked with creating a staircase and fitted bookcase centerpiece for a home designed by German kit-home company, Hanse Haus. We established a design path that had two main purposes: to feel intentional in the existing space and fulfill the clients’ functional brief.

We developed a bold staircase from European oak that zig-zagged upwards – facing an installation of elaborate storage for the clients’ extensive collection of design books. The resulting stairwell area acts as a centrepiece, while sitting thoughtfully with the design around it.
